nano computers

Computers are have crossed five generations and their performance has seen exponential increase with constant reduction in its size. Computers are ubiquitous and i cannot a imagine a world without them. In fact the no of computers and processors in this world can be compared to the galaxy and the universe.
One of the prominent scientists Kurzwell, inventor of the flat-bed scanner and text-to-speech synthesis saya feels that computers of the size of our blood cell could be possibly developed which will enter our blood stream and help us live a healthy life and stimulate our brains. It may be a boon as it will really useful for curing several deceases.

Renewable energy - India's future

The entire world is facing a energy crisis as the cost of oil has increased by several folds. More worrying is the fact that the prices are bound to increase further and the chances of it coming down is very slim unless we take drastic steps to limit our use and reduce the dependence on oil . I feel the only way we can do this is to shift to renewable sources of energy and thus reduce the demand for oil which might bring down its price.India will have to depend on renewable energy such as solar power in order to sustain and grow economically.

ZERO CONCEPT!!

Science and Spirituality have never been in good terms with each other. Science has been progressing tremendously and throughout its growth it has always tried to disprove to existence of god. Science tries hard to explain every phenomena happening in this world and claims that people just use god to fill up the gaps which they cannot understand. Science still has not been able to unravel the mystery of the origin of this universe . The concept of everything Out of nothing .

If you empty a vessel it can be filled up to the brim. Hence Zero has the capacity of fullness. Sometimes in our meditation or even in our sleep we come to a stage where there is no thought. In that state time passes without our realising it. In this way, a mind without thoughts is when we are in a state of zero, and we enter into timelessness, or in other words Infinity.

We normally think of zero as a number without any value. That what man does not understand he quickly dismisses as zero! Ordinary man who experiences silence may simply feel that his head has become empty and the cessation of useless thoughts. Technically Silence is an emptiness parallel to the concept of zero. But highest spirituality conceives that the zero is an incalculable infinite. The true fact is that Silence is superior to thinking and that it is out of silence that thoughts arise. So it is not empty at all.

The mathematic revelation of zero can also be explained. Researchers of Maths say that it was Aryabhata who gave a name and number upon a gap, the profound Shunya, Zero. He has created the symbol of a circle with a dot within, perhaps to show the immense space captured within a mere circle. He is the first person to reveal the potential of Zero. Brahmagupta (3000 B.C) narrated the rules of operation of Zero in his work Brahmasphutasiddantha, in which he treats Zero as just another number. According to him the division of any quantity by zero is an infinity, or immutable Divine, a Divine who remains unchanged even when worlds are created or destroyed. Only the tangible changes; zero the intangible, immutable. Zero is deeply embedded in Indian spirituality. According to Indian Spiritual teachings, through meditation one enters into the "Sunya" (Nothingness). The sleeping posture of Lord Vishnu is termed as Anantha Sayanam – Anantham means whole, complete, purnam – Anantha Sayana – one who is sleeping on infinity.

There is a phenomenon in life where a man loses every valuable thing he has and becomes socially a zero. Such zeros amazingly experience a dramatic turn-around and experience a reversal of fortunes whereby all that deserted them comes back to them in a great measure.

Bakti yoga-way to reach God!

Yoga is an art of controlling and unifying the mind and the body. Yoga is an ancient and divine art practiced by saints or yogi's is believed to help us live a healthy life. It calms down the mind and makes the body flexible thereby helping us to stay younger. Yoga has several manifestations and was used by yogi's to focus their mind in order to realize the ultimate. Bhagvat Gita is one of the most sacred book of the hindus. It comprises of the conversation of Lord Krishna and Arjuna during the kurukshetra battle, between the pandavas and the kauravas. It is the advice of the Lord to the entire Mankind, generally. The Gita has eighteen chapters. The twelfth chapter is called the Bhakti yoga-ways to reach God. A brief outline about this chapter...

Bhakti yoga deals with the ways to reach God. It is a path of devotion to reach the Unmanifest. When Arjuna puts forth the question- "which between the two types of devotees are superior?"
Lord Krishna answered -"those who have unanswered faith in the lord, undivided attention, remembrance of the Lord are surely better devotees. Those who worship the unmanifest and indefinable Lord with perfect self-control are sure to reach the god."

The lord will be the saviour of those, who dedicate all their activities to the Divine, worship Him with pure faith. The first and the best is Dhyana, keeping the mind firmly on the Lord. This may be impossible because mind wanders away from God. Then by Abhyasa, brings the again back to Lord. If all attempts of Abyasa fails, one must dedicate all the daily activities to the Lord, that is,Dhyana. If this also fails, one must leave the fruit of of one's work in the hands of the Almighty.

The Bhakti yoga not only server as an important chapter of the Gita but also tells us about the basic qualities and values that one must follow in day-to-day life.
